Description:

Window display or presentation pipe made of clay with a beaker shaped fantasy pipe bowl on a flat base and an up going stem with a plain stub. Bowl front a cartouche with rollers in a-symmetrical contour on which "PIPES GAMBIER", on the left a standing woman and on the right a standing man, both in work clothes, the man with a short pipe in his hand. Bowl base a sitting boy, also with a pipe. Bowl opening around four hollow shells with short pipes. At the back medals of an industrial exhibition, on the right-hand description "PRODUITS DE LA .... AGRICOLE ET MANUFACTRE", "EXPOSITION NATIONAL 1849". Medal left sitting virgin en face with "REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE". Painted enamel in red, green, yellow, blue and white.
