Description:

Tobacco pipe made of ceramic with curved pipe bowl, heel and braided stem with smooth stem end. Bowl both sides embossed male with three leaves in hand. Stem centrally an oval of three turns with pieces twisted on both sides, in the oval braid. Painted glaze in yellow, blue and brown of dots and zigzag lines, on the upper winding "FRANCES HIGGANS 1820". Blue and yellow glaze rough due to high oxide content. Stem end remains of sealing wax.
