Steel overlangs in hoogreliëf het pantserschip Maine met twee masten en geschutsmateriaal, op zijkant links overlangs intaglio "PAT.D JUNE 7, 98", op de steven tweemaal intaglio "MAINE". |

| Pantserschip Maine besteld in oktober 1885, gebouwd op de werf New York Naval Yard, Brooklyn in New, kiellegging in oktober 1888, lengte 99 meter, tewaterlating op 18 november 1889. Kostprijs US$ 4,5 miljoen. In dienst op 17 september 1895. Gezonken door een explosie in de haven van Havana, Cuba op 15 februari 1898. |
