Description:

Pipe case made of wood with an oval-shaped to curved bowl part with hinged lid and straight stem with knob at the end. Bowl and stem inlay of brass with a flap with a numerical lock with which a slider unlocks the pipe case when at "10", along the flap "MR. HAMELIN MN. BOUCHER A VERSAILLE D.MT. DE SEINE" (mister Hamelin master boutcher in Versailles department de Seine) and on the back "ET OISE " (and Oise), stem side a sawn ornament, the two-sided hinge octagonal with an engraved motif, stem in brass sleeve drilled with circles, solid brass end, the knot slightly from the end in brass, around the stem five smooth copper bands.
