Description:

Tobacco pipe of wood with cylindrical Hungarian bowl, round bottom without heel and ascending stem slightly widening towards the end. Bowl front carved workshop of a cooperage with two standing workmen in the center, the left scrapes staves, the right beats hoops, shelves with tools along the walls, the scene is lined at the top with a vine, bowl stem side in circle initials "MD". Bowl interior meerschaum paste coating. Originally turned wooden stem with cylindrical shaft and button with twisted grunts, buffalo horn end piece with button bite.
