Description:

Tobacco pipe of meerschaum with a cylindrical bowl with disc-shaped bowl opening, flat bottom and ascending stem with stub. Bowl front in relief depiction of Napoleon, turned to the left, sitting on a rearing horse against a background of boulders, in the right hand a flaming symbol from which darts to either side, the ground line set with silver. Silver flap lid with two hallmarks stamped into the ring at the bowl opening, drum-shaped lid with printed leaf motifs and extensive clamping spring. Silver stub ring with facets and locking eye. Matching sheath of black leather with open bowl and stem piece and inside on the right red velvet and on the left purple silk.
