Description:
Snuff rasp made of boxwood with a slightly pounded of shape showing on the front a standing fox shaving a cat placed on a block, below on two bands "A HUGUE BIGOT" and below cartouche with "1751", top and bottom braided cord design with rosette. The rear is closed with a lid that slides open on which two compartments with on top a sun pointer on a number ring, underneath a crowned cartridge on which a brass knob to unlock the lid, the inscription "A BIGOT" in between. Opening at the bottom a fox head. Metal grater missing. |
