Description:

Window display or presentation pipe made of clay with figural bowl, flat bottom and up going stem with large stub. Bowl bust of Abd-El-Kader (Arab emir 1808-1883) with moustache and beard, a decorated turban-shaped headgear draped around the head, back to the shoulders and with two hanging tassels on the left, bust richly decorated clothing with a band with striped blocks around the neck and a jacket with a bow on which a swinging motif. On rectangular plinth in which at the rear a short up going stem with a stub. Stem fluted, the cuff around the thickest point with geometric decoration in which cartouches and stylized leaf motifs in band work. Bust front intaglio "GAMBIER". Painted enamel in yellow, pink, blue, turquoise, green, brown, white and black.
