Description:
| Press mould of brass in two parts for clay tobacco pipe with hexagonal oval bowl, heel and straight stem with (later made) button. Bowl front and rear panels in embossed crowned portrait oval with Empress Maria Theresia and Emperor Frans I on the stem side with underneath "KEISERI, KEISER". Bowl backside King of England and Prince William IV with inscriptions "K.ENGE, ORANIE". Bowl on either sides a panel with two crowned coat of arms with the arms of the proposed. Neck of the pipe bowl a few volutes and winged angel heads. Heel left quality mark Gouds coat of arms. Mould closing system with five iron locking pins, the cams decorated with dies in motifs like the milkmaid (in two sizes), boar, crown, swan, jumping dog, horseman on horse, standing male, lying lion, rooster, letter K. |

| Geschenk van Dirk van der Want, Gouda ter gelegenheid van het tienjarig bestaan van het Pijpenkabinet. Vorm afkomstig uit het huis Van der Want en aangekocht uit de boedel van Jan Prince & Cie, 1898. Aan het begin van de jaren 1950 zijn uit deze vorm enige krulpijpen geperst. |
