Description:
Tobacco pipe made of clay with figural bowl, heel marking and straight stem with button end. Bowl caricature representation of a donor with moustache and beard whose pointy goatee suggests the heel, squeezing glasses on the nose, high cylindrical hat with Turkish jewelry on the front and a worked lap under the hat around the head. Stem over the half length thickened and fluted and decorated with a collar followed by a round ribbon. Stem left embossed shape number "644". Stem intaglio "GAMBIER A PARIS M*M DEPOSE". Painted enamel in red, green, black and white. Stem end a string. |
