Le conservateur du musée, D.H. Duco MA, a reçu une récompense importante dès 1988. L'Académie royale néerlandaise des sciences lui a décerné le prix Johan de la Court en reconnaissance du caractère prometteur de ses recherches. De nombreux livres et articles l'ont prouvé par la suite.
