Description :
Opium pipe made of wood (fruitwood, presumably pear) with tubular shape with a large diameter closed with ivory nozzle with teat-shaped profile and end piece with a Chinese character on the flat side. The wood of the pipe support cut a dragon's head that functions as the finger support with green glass eyes (imitation emeralds) in a silver setting, two circumferential constricted rings give the impression that the pipe is made of bamboo. Six-sided saddle in gilded brass with a swinging dragon behind a sun symbol depicted as a jewel. Holder for the bowl eight-sided and with panels engraved and without cuff. |
