Final week Suriname

Many Dutch people of Surinamese decendance visited us during our exhibition of archaeological finds from Suriname. Especially during this final week, they are seizing the opportunity to come and see the modest display. Everyone is surprised and enthusiastic, as the subject - smoking in the colony during the eighteenth century - turns out to be unfamiliar to them. We are delighted that a new audience has visited the museum for the first time. Hopefully, word will spread that such a beautiful and fascinating museum can be visited right here in the city centre.
