Lid with single-hinged hinge and closure with sliding hook, centrally in relief a standing oval medallion with a right facing bust of a king with laurel wreath and a square lace collar, "GVST.ADOLP.D.G. SVEG.GOF.WAND.REX. M.P.F.D.RET.G.I.DO ". Bottom underside standing oval medallion on which left standing lion with sword and saber, standing amidst weapons, circular "DEO.ET.VICTRICIBVS.ARMIS" and year "1631". Bottom scratched owner initials "AP".
