Description :

Tobacco pipe in meerschaum with high Hungarian bowl, disc-shaped outstanding bowl opening, flat bottom and ascending stem widening into a disc-shaped stub. Bowl front hand-carved in relief with a large coat of arms with six quarters and a shield crowned with seven helmets with different helmet signs against a cover above which is a crown, lions standing as shield holders with turned heads and a staff with a vane in the claws. Stem engraved ornamental decoration on both sides. Original mounting with silver valve lid with wide bowl rim with relief and drum-shaped lid with leafy branches, year "1839" engraved on the lens-shaped drum, silver stub ring with small locking eye. Ring bowl opening stamped silver marks with hallmark and year 1839 and maker's mark IN.
