Description :
Tobacco pipe made of clay with funnel shape bowl, heel and straight stem. Bowl left embossed under a crown a right hand with bunch of grapes, bowl right a standing wine barrel under a crown. Mould seams bordered with pearl edges. Milling round the bowl opening in the mould. Stem between two concentric bands with cross marks on both sides a winding vine with serrated leaves and bunches of grapes. Stem left embossed "DIRCK VAN WINGERDEN BEYDE NIEUWE BROUWER...". |

Commentaire
| Dirck Willemsz. van Wijngaerden, huwt 1680, koopt in 1687 vier huizen aan de Brouwersgracht (met ten oosten de "Nieuwe Brouwer"). In 1697 brandewijnverkoper genoemd en in 1699 tabaksverkoper. Hij sterft 1713. Een beeld van een vondst, Haagse archeologische vondsten in particulier bezit, 's-Gravenhage, 1991, p 60, afb 9.2. Dit exemplaar. |
