Description :

Tobacco pipe made of earthenware with beaker shaped figural bowl, without heel and straight stem with knot. Bowl face of a Faun moulded in a printing mould for a crucible or can. Rear of the bowl shaped by hand and crudely decorated with vertical scratch lines. Stem end transparent lead glaze. Old stem repair with silver strap and nails on which silver marks: running lion in rectangle for silver alloy, year letter gothic S (?) In heraldic shield, personal mark "TPH", office mark (Chester ??) and another third shield, stamped number "138676 ".
