Project: findability
8 agosto 2025
Our database contains a wealth of information, yet Google struggles to find it. Fortunately, there are techniques to improve this, and we are currently exploring these tricks. This involves Linked Open Data, which means we link the terms we use in our database via code to existing lists of names that are well-defined and translated, a so-called thesaurus. For example, give a clay pipe pressed from pipe clay codes, making it machine-readable and therefore usable for search engines. Secondly, someone in France could also find it as "pipe en terre pressé en terre à pipe." In cooperation with our developer we are working behind the scenes to see how our database can be adapted to accommodate all the new codes. Implementation will follow.
